The trial will run until Friday 31 March 2017 and will complement regular local GP services, providing a service when your regular GP is unavailable.

The 1800-call-a-doc GP will inform your regular GP of your treatment – with your consent.

The service offers experienced Australian-based GPs who can provide advice, diagnosis, treatment and prescriptions for a range of conditions including:

  • fever
  • vomiting
  • dehydration
  • cold and flu
  • pain and infections.

1800-call-a-doc is a partnership between Telstra ReadyCare, the WA Primary Health Alliance (WAPHA), and the WA Country Health Service (WACHS). It is supported with funding from the Southern Inland Health Initiative through Royalties for Regions.
