The National Paediatric Toolkit is a trial program which will be used at Princess Margaret Hospital to measure the opinions of children and compare this with the experience of their families.

Fabio the Frog is a character used within the innovative app, designed to help engage patients as young as four in the process.

Patient response will be used to understand children’s personal experiences and empower young patients to influence the care they receive.

It is expected that following the trial, the toolkit will continue to be used to survey children at Princess Margaret Hospital and the new Perth Children's Hospital.

The Fabio the Frog pilot program is part of a nursing research project. Data from the survey will be used to determine a focus for further research.
