Northam Health Service

Northam Health Service offers the Wheatbelt Midwifery Group Practice. This provides midwifery continuity of carer for:

  • Low risk pregnancies and births
  • Women in the Central Wheatbelt district
  • Shared antenatal and postnatal care for women with complicated pregnancies.

  • 2 birth suites
  • 1 family sitting room

Services and features

  • Each woman is allocated a midwife to follow them through their pregnancy journey
  • Water births
  • Sterile water injections for back pain in labour
  • Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS)
  • Early postnatal discharge – four to six hours after birth
  • Postnatal care in your own home by your midwife
  • Antenatal and parenting classes (speak with your midwife or use the contact details below)
