Southern Inland Health Initiative – Program Evaluation

As part of the 2011/12 budget, the Western Australian Government announced substantial reforms and improved access to health care for all residents in the southern inland area of Western Australia.

Funded by the State Government’s Royalties for Regions Program, the half a billion dollar Southern Inland Health Initiative (SIHI) commenced on 1 July 2011 and includes a capital works program and a health workforce and health services improvement program. This major undertaking represents the State’s single biggest investment in regional health care in WA history.
