Help us improve the health services for school-aged children and young people

Child and Adolescent Health Service – Community Health (external site) supports the health, wellbeing and development of children and young people across the Perth metropolitan area.

We’re inviting you to join a working group to help us with the WA School-aged Health Services Review. We’ve already surveyed young people, parents and carers about the current school health services in WA, and this has helped us to come up with several recommendations.

We now need your help to put these recommendations into action.

Working groups

There are two working groups for people who are interested in improving health services for school-aged children and young people in 2019.

  • The Youth Working Group is looking for young people aged 14 to 18 years.
  • The Parent/Carer Working Group is looking for parents and carers of children and young people aged 3 to 18 years.

What will the working groups do?

  • Meet no more than monthly (for up to 2 hours; 4.30pm to 6.30pm)
  • Work with a group of other young people or parents/carers to give us feedback from your perspective
  • Listen to our suggestions for change and tell us if you think we’re on the right track
  • Learn about being part of a committee and have fun!

Reimbursement for your time

We will reimburse all working group members $35 per hour to participate in meetings.

How to apply

Before you apply to join, please check that you:
