PCH Emergency Department

If your child has an urgent medical condition that doesn't require an ambulance, you can bring them to our Emergency Department (ED). Our ED provides emergency services for children up to the age of 16 (up to the age of 18 years for pre-existing chronic conditions).

If there is another hospital emergency department closer to you, please take your child there. If your child needs to be transferred to Perth Children's Hospital the staff will arrange this.

WA Public Hospital Activity provides an up-to-date status of the emergency department in each of the metropolitan hospitals.

Our Emergency Department (ED) is located at 15 Hospital Avenue in Nedlands, on the QEII Medical Centre site.

The emergency set-down area and ED is accessed off Hospital Avenue, at the western side of the hospital near the Main Entrance.

View the PCH map for more information.

Our Emergency Department operates 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
