Selection process

Stage 1 – Assessment of academic achievement and assessment of written applications

The information you provide is verified by your academic transcript. You also have an opportunity to tell us how you achieved a weighted average mark of 65% via the Application form.

A panel of assessors considers each applicant’s written responses and records the outcomes.

Applicants with the highest aggregated ratings from Stage 1 are shortlisted and invited to attend a Group Assessment.

Stage 2 – Group Assessment Process

You must attend the face-to-face Group Assessment Process, as this is a pre-requisite for progressing to Stage 3.

If you demonstrate satisfactory competence in this assessment process, you will proceed to Stage 3 of the selection process.

Stage 3 – Interviews

Your interview will take approximately 30-45 minutes.

You will receive the questions 10 minutes prior to the interview to allow you to prepare responses.

A panel of 3 or 4 people will ask all applicants the same series of questions.

Stage 4 – Referee checks

You should notify your nominated referees once you have received confirmation of your attendance at the Group Assessment Centre so that the panel can conduct referee checks.

Successful applicants

If you are successful, you will be notified via a letter of offer.

Before you begin work, you will need to supply:

  • criminal record check – candidates who are offered positions will be required to undergo a National Criminal History Record Check (external site). Previous criminal conviction or pending charges will not necessarily preclude employment.
  • proof of identification (100 points)
  • verification of university degrees and records
  • pre-employment health screening.

If you are not successful, you will be notified via mail or email. You will have the opportunity to obtain feedback at the conclusion of the assessment process.
