Sustainable Health Review Interim Report released

In June 2017, the Government of Western Australia announced the Sustainable Health Review (SHR) to prioritise the delivery of patient-centred, high quality and financially sustainable healthcare across the state. The Minister for Health, Hon Roger Cook MLA has today announced the release of the SHR Interim Report (external link).

The SHR Interim Report (external link) outlines the SHR Panel’s initial observations following extensive engagement with stakeholders across Western Australia, and outlines the preliminary directions, recommendations for immediate action, as well as a range of areas for further work to develop a more sustainable WA health system.

The Report presents what the Panel has heard so far and tests its preliminary directions in preparation for the Panel’s Final Report and Recommendations due to Government in November 2018.

The Panel is currently seeking public feedback on the Interim Report from all members of the community and organisations.
