EpiPen batches recalled
22 March 2017
The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) has warned that some batches of EpiPen adrenaline injectors sold to treat allergies and anaphylaxis have been recalled.
The recalled injectors may contain a defective part that could result in the device failing to activate when used.
Not all units are affected and EpiPen users are advised to check the batch number and expiry found on the label of the pen or on the end of the carton.
Consumers can locate the batches affected at the TGA website (external site).
Any devices from these batches should be returned to a pharmacy for replacement.
